ENERGY USE INTENSITY MONITORING

Energy use intensity is an indicator of the amount of energy consumed per unit area per year. It is widely used in many different ways, including to benchmark the energy efficiency of a building against others of the same building type or to evaluate compliance against energy code requirements. It is an energy efficiency indicator to compare buildings of different functions and climate conditions and adapted when any technical or physical indicator is inadequate to explain the efficiency level clearly.
